Mr. Crawford has over fifteen years of experience with Edwards Aquifer compliance issues. Since 2005, his focus has been water quality regulations pertaining to caves, springs, and the Edwards Aquifer and the Endangered Species Act. Mr. Crawford’s primary emphasis has been the geomorphology and hydrogeology of the Edwards Aquifer as it relates to the status of a number of aquifer-related endangered species. His specialties in Texas karst includes land use planning in environmentally sensitive areas, hydrogeological studies, TCEQ Geologic Assessments, mitigation plans and consulting on caves encountered during construction, spring-shed assessments, Edwards Aquifer recharge zone boundary determinations, threatened and endangered species presence/absence surveys, and karst preserve management and monitoring plans. Mr. Crawford is a licensed professional geoscientist and holds the applicable U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service permits for working with threatened and endangered karst species in central Texas. Mr. Crawford has assessed thousands of potential aquifer recharge features, and conducted hydrogeological and biological surveys of hundreds of caves and karst features in Bexar, Comal, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties, Texas.
